Peikko is responsible for the foundation design and structural calculations as well as installation on site. The deliveries comprise full set of Gravity Foundation, including Anchor Сage, Headed Studs, Steel Formwork and Peikko’s Special Foundation Reinforcement. Peikko solutions helped to make a faster assembling of the foundation, even at non-standard locations.
The development of Lumijoki Wind Project is performed by Finnish company Lumituuli Oy. The company is the first consumer-owned wind power company and has over 1,200 shareholders who use the electricity it produces. Already 4.8 million EUR have been raised to finance power plants. crowdfunding i.e. share issues and debentures, mainly from individuals.
The project consists of a new wind turbine type to replace an older one. The wind turbine is upgraded to a larger 2 MW type manufactured by Vestas. The project in Lumijoki is commissioned by the end of 2014.
